Marcus had a slightly different Xmas than most and why not! With the awesome weather and no plans he headed for the famous Orchid lakes. Knowing it has form and from previous experience he headed to the venue full of confidence. Armed with his beloved boilie crumb and liquid mix it was only a matter of time. John Hill recently caught one of the finest commons on the complex in the shape of Angel at over 43Ib. The car park lake at Irchester is notoriously tricky and can really do you over. For years now this bait has been one of the most consistent catches of big, old knarly commons and mirrors all over the country, but quite notably in the Nene Valley. This particular trip he was supposed to be heading to St.Ives but received word his main target from there had been out. A bit despondent he decided to head back over to the Folly.
