After meeting us at the Big one show Leo armed himself with some of our Freshwater Shrimp boilies with Freshwater Shrimp Dumbell Wafters and headed for Cranebrook fishery.

 After selecting his spots he applied half a kilo of bait over his rods and kept the spot topped up with five captapults of baits over each rod every couple of hours resulting in a 12lb, 17lb and a 25lb.

This 26lb common was the result of George fishing a 22hr session on Badshot Lea big pond.

George fished a Damson Cream wafter over a bed of spodded 8mm pellet with our Active Nut boilies.

Simon Poll fished a Suffolk Estate Lake using Red Berry doubled up 14mm hard hookers. with a quarter of a kilo of bait around 3x rods in a tight patch.

“The power of Red Berry produced these scaly bangers, almost picking out the upper carp on the lake last year. I did have to work hard for them on each trip, especially being on day sessions only”.

New lake record common for orchid lake first 40lbs common in 20 years

It hit the scales at 41:8 it was also a new PB for me, fish known as the Yellow Fish. It fell to a thew kilo off fresh water shrimp and shrimp pellet little bit of corn.

Simon fished a quick day session on a Suffolk estate Lake resulting in this 25lb+ mirror.

Using a kilo of SAS Squid boilies scattered over the 2x rods with a 16mm SAS Squid pop up presented on the edge of the bait area, the other bang in the middle.

Had the 13lb 14oz first (no photo) then the 16lb 2hrs later, immense battle! Snagged me up mid river but managed to get it out, Loose feed was a combination of high oil pellets coated with Amino 30 and then dusted with the Shrimp stick and bag mix, Small Shrimp dumbells with a light coating of the Barbus Shrimp bait soak, Hookbaits had a quick glug of the bait soak and I wrapped some of the stabilised shrimp paste around the hooklink swivel, I think it’s fair to say the Barbel liked the combination!

Mark Egan had a session on his Newland’s Syndicate resulting in multiple captures including this 27lb 12oz,  all caught on SAS Squid.

Stiff hinges fished over heavy pre baited Freshwater Shrimp with a natural Shrimp pop up as the chosen hookbait.

On a recent trip to France Ian Roberts banked this 42lb 12oz using Active Nut boilies over a bed of Active Nut fast breakdown pellets with Active Nut syrup.

After applying a big spread of mixed Freshwater Shrimp and SAS Squid boilies to to the lake and fishing naked chods on Freshwater Shrimp pop ups over them Ric Smales landed this new PB Common of 27lb 2oz. Ric also landed a 26lb 4oz Common and 18lb 10oz Mirror on the same 12 hour session.

Rich Jennings fished a 48 hour session on Reedy Lake syndicate in South Lincoln.

Rich introduced a 5kg scattering of Freshwater Shrimp boilies to a shallower 5’ deep area of the lake and using a Shrimp and Squidberry snowman as the chosen hookbait. The session resulted in this 48lb mirror carp with backup mirror’s of 31lb 8oz and 39lb 4oz.

After prebaiting a wild urban nature reserve with whole, chop and crumbed Freshwater Shrimp boilies Anthony decided to fish a short 2 hour early morning session. With the alarm set at 4am and the rods out by 5am with a Freshwater Shrimp Hi Attract yellow pop up being the hookbait of choice is wasn’t long before this 30lb 4oz stunner was in the net.

Old Mills Big Paul’s at 55.04 fell to a Shrimp dumbell wafter to a margin spot fished over pellet and a mix of Shrimp, Active Nut boiles. Also a 34.04 Mirror fell to the same tactic.

Caught with a single pink shrimp pop up cast to showing fish at 80yards in 16ft of water.

Dylan fished a 4 night session on his local syndicate using a glugged 15mm SAS Squid bottom bait fished over a bed of about a kilo of a mixed SAS Squid, Freshwater Shrimp and Liver Specials boilies. Fishing the far margin with the bait presented on a helicopter rig with 1.5 oz lead. Had the run at first light .

So left my son in charge of the rods while I went to the toilet. On way back had a coffee with one of the other members. Next thing we hear daddy daddy I caught a big one. So of I run. When I arrive Tommy has the fish at the rod tip ready to be netted. So I do the honours and relise it a 30 plus common. Tommy first 30 and caught without me being present. He was made up an so was I. It was too big for him to lift. One very happy boy.

This was the first time using Trent Saits SAS Squid, it did me 15 fish that session with the common been the best of the bunch and been a new PB common. Claymarsh is know for been a harder water but since switching to Trent Baits my catch rates have shot through the roof. I did more fish first session using the bait then I had done in previous years so it really does speak for itself.

Chris Turley fished a 3 night session on a Midlands syndicate with this 31lb 14oz mirror as a result.

Chris used a few handfuls of our Active Nut boilies chopped with particles to the far margin on the patrol route. Using a Active Nut wafter on 9 inches of 20lbs thinking anglers think link with a size 4 stiff rig hook on a D and a 3.5oz lead helicopter style.

Mark fished a 3 day session at Langholme resulting in this 31lb 9oz Common. Mark’s baiting approach was spombing a mix of our 3kg Sweet pellet with Nut Syrup and 2kg of chopped Freshwater Shrimp boilies at 100 yards. Mark’s hook bait of choice was a Freshwater Shrimp cork ball pop up.

Caught using Freshwater Shrimp dumbells in bags of crushed shrimp and pellet fished at range to showing fish, this be the best at 32lb 2oz. 1 of a 10 fish hit in 24 hours from Bernershall fisheries in Essex.

New lake record, I think it’s a new south west record. I was fishing a 48 hour session on my local syndicate in North Devon called Riverton. Caught from the Shadows fishing a clear spot in the weed.

James fished over a kilo of our Freshwater Shrimp boilies used in conjunction with mixed particles with a Freshwater Shrimp corkball pop up as the hookbait of choice. The result was this 28lb 10oz beauty on his Midland Syndicate 36 hour session.
